I joined the Fashion, Design and Lifestye Team on Etsy, what a great group of people to work with. It has been fun and a wonderful learning experence. I look foward to working with them for a long time to come. I am going be writing about each one over the next few days.

Marie Antoinette

I have been reading about the French Queen sense I saw Coppola's movie. I loved the movie, what a feast for the eyes and yet what a sad tale. I have been working on a series with her as a feature. She only wanted to be a mother, and yet she was blamed for the French Revelotion. I love the fact she was the first style setter of her time.

I love the colors and other items that is shown with my little photo. So many great artists and craftsmen on Etsy. I love it. This is so much fun. I get to chat with people around the world.

Childhoods End

Today I have read about a man who raped a 3 month old girl. Now another on yahoo about a woman who taped her boyfriend doing the same thing to a 4 year old. What kind of world that is making such a big deal about the Marine who killed a puppy and not as much this. I think I will have to pull my series out of art and photos about Childhoods End. Some how the metaphor’s of those images seems appropriate. The small push horse in the weeds filling a swimming pool. The Mickey Mouse slipper is a sea of broken glass and leaves. A gun shot through the door of an abandon school. The Farris wheel falling into rust. Images that I hope, would create awareness that we must do better for the littlest members of our world.

Why Today?

I ask myself Why today to start this? I guess I need an outlet for my musing and art. I am not even sure I can do this. Writing and communicating with words has never been my strong suit. Hopefully it will spur my creativity along.
